Announcing Our New Executive Director
mPower Approach is excited to announce that Teresa Oechsli has been appointed as Executive Director, effective June 1, 2026.
Teresa’s journey with mPower Approach began more than two decades ago. In 2004, she was part of the original short-term dental training mission team to Ghana, Africa, alongside our founder, Dr. Charlie Vittitow. What began as a mission trip has come full circle as God now leads her to serve the ministry in this new role.
With 27 years of dental experience, Teresa has dedicated her life to sharing the love of Christ through both international and local missions. In 2004, she founded Hosea’s House, a ministry serving women and children in crisis throughout the Louisville area. After faithfully leading that ministry for more than 20 years, she retired in 2025 to fully pursue God’s calling to take the Gospel to the nations.
Teresa is passionate about evangelism, discipleship, leadership, and empowering indigenous believers to reach their own communities. She believes dentistry is a powerful tool for opening doors to share the hope of Jesus Christ. Her desire is to serve with humility, integrity, and flexibility as she follows the Lord’s leading and equips others to make disciples around the world.
Teresa said, “I am overjoyed that God has allowed me to serve mPower Approach and bring my journey full circle. Combining my love for evangelism and dentistry to help take the Gospel to the ends of the earth is a privilege and a calling I do not take lightly.”
